Abstract

The unit of speed is one of the mathematical materials taught to elementary school students in grade 5. However, some studies show that students still have difficulties in learning speed and discharge units. This research aims to conduct a literature review of speed unit learning in elementary schools.  The research method chosen in this study is Descriptive qualitative research is an appropriate approach to deeply understand the processes and challenges in learning mathematics, especially in the material of speed and discharge in high grade elementary school. This approach allows researchers to explore the experiences, understandings, and difficulties experienced by students and the teaching strategies applied by teachers. Based on this research, it is found that all learning models can be applied to achieve good student learning outcomes and the learning media used are video learning media other learning media, by learning speed material can improve the ability of student learning outcomes in elementary school more optimally.
